Dr. Lin Zhou has a Ph.D. in Physics. He successfully managed many complex global initiatives in Cognitive Education, Semiconductor and Data Storage Industries. Lin has a large number of patents and publications. For the past many years, he has been conducting peer paper reviews for several journals. Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics

u-Sheng Lu received the B.S. degree with two majors in mechanical and electrical engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan, in 1990, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 1995. From 1998 to 2000, he was with the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, DLR, Germany. From 2000 to 2008, he was with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. In 2008, he moved to the Department of Mechatronic Engineering, National Taiwan Normal University. Mehran Ektesabi has completed his Bachelor degree (1982), his Master degree (1984) and his PhD (1989) all in Electrical Engineering. He has more than 30 years experience in design & development of control and drive systems. He has two international patents in the field of Motor Control and winner of many national & international awards. At present, he is with Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Sciences, in Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He is an active member of IEEE, founder Chair of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Victorian Chapter and Consular of IEEE branch in Swinburne. He is executive editor, editor & reviewer of many national & international reputed Journals & Conferences.

His major areas of expertise and research are Power Electronics, Electric Motor Control Systems, Power Quality Controllers, Energy Saving and Compatibility, Renewable Energy Systems, Intelligent and Autonomous Control, Soft Computing Adaptive Control and System Identification.

Prof Jacques Penders joined Sheffield Hallam in 2003. He is currently the head of the Centre for Automation and Robotics Research (CARR). He is also the Deputy Director of Sheffield Robotics, a collaboration between Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield. Sheffield Robotics includes besides CARR, the Art and Design Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University as well as Control Engineering, Computing and Psychology at the University of Sheffield.

Ming-June Tsai received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University 1986, and is a professor of National Cheng-Kung University. He obtained the A. F. Davis Silver Medal Award in 1999 from America Welding Society. He also received the Outstanding Engineer Award 1990 from China Institute of Engineers, and the Best Paper Award in 2004 from Taiwan Society of Welding Engineering. He was a visiting professor at Arizona State University in 1989, and at University of South Australia in 2000. He was one of the founders of Chinese Society of Machines and Mechanisms Theory (CSMMT), which is a chapter of International Federation of Theory of Machines and Mechanisms (IFToMM). He served as the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Academic Committee of CSMMT from 1992~2000. He is a now a Technical Committee member of IFToMM since 1999; and an International Scientific Committee of ISRM (International Symposium of Robotics and Mechatronics) since 2009.
